Gwendolyn Donaldson, B.A. (hons.), M.P.A

From 2014-2017, I was a member of the management team who restructured Fair Harbour Marina & Campground, relaunched Walters Cove Resort and developed the Purple Palace Surf and Paddle Hostel for the Ka:’yu:’k’t’h’/ Che’ktles7e’t’h First Nation in Kyuquot. In 2016, Walters Cove Resort was honoured with the Indigenous Tourism BC Award for Best Outdoor Adventure. Prior to this position, I was the program coordinator for the Heart & Stroke foundation’s BC Public Access to Defibrillation program, which placed over 350 AED’s into public places across the province.

My experience with KCFN led me to pursue a Master’s in Public Administration at the University of Victoria. In 2019, I was a recipient of the Ronald C. Corbeil Award for Merit in Program Evaluation, which is awarded to a student with the highest grade on a major project or course related to program evaluation, performance measurement and performance management.

My skill set includes an understanding of: Adobe Photoshop & Indesign; professional photography; Google AdWords, Analytics & GSuite; online newsletter systems; social media marketing; formal public administration practices and principles; exceptional research and analysis skills; and I’m a half decent writer when I want to be.
